Mud Pie Cake Making Outdoor Fun
Mud, mud, glorious mud! We took some kitchen utensils to the forest and spent an afternoon of mud cake baking by the stream. I cut the heads off of a wilting vase of flowers that we had at home to use as our cake decorations.
It’s so easy to say no to the mess of mud pie making but saying yes on occasion and embracing the moment can make some fabulous memories.
Yes, they did make a crazy mess, and I’m not sure their clothes will ever come clean again but they had a truly wonderful time. Most of it washed off in the stream and the rest was resolved with a warm bubbly fun bath when we got home.
