Grinch Themed Christmas Tree Sleepover Tradition

We love Christmas here and there is nothing better than the twinkle of Christmas lights in the evenings and settling down in a nice cosy festive room to enjoy a Christmas movie with the children, and our most favourite movie of all has to be The Grinch!Over the years we have introduced lots of magical Christmas traditions as a family and the one that the children probably love the best is to sleep on the living room floor below the twinkly glow of the Christmas tree, it feels really magical. So I thought I would combine it this year with a movie night and themed milkshake making station for them to enjoy.

I set about making a sign for our station…We made some simple treats to enjoy, the girls made some white chocolate ‘Gricnch’ crispy cakes and we drizzled some french fancies with green icing. We used strawberries, bananas, grapes and marshmallows to make our Grinch fruit skewers…the kids loved putting these together and there’s always so much fun with food to be had!The children got there bedding together and set it out underneath the Christmas tree, this was so easy to put together that it would be a great set up for your Elf on the shelf activities.Take a peek at out

You could even incorporate a themed night into a ‘gift of time’ present for next year!!All that was left to do was get the ice cream out the freezer, mint chop chip of course, and settled down to watch our film with our milkshakes in hand.

**This themed sleepover was based around some Grinch goodies that a managed to get for 50p a bag, currently on sale in Poundland in the UK…see below
