Toddler Box Library

Today we found the most awesome box left out for the bin men so we picked it up and took it home to unleash our imagination upon.
Who doesn’t love a box? And this box is going to be the focus of this week’s toddler play and will be transformed into many things.
Our first transformation was a library den. Here’s how we did it.
I started by cutting out some windows and a door on the side of the box.
The kids then helped to paint it with some matt emulsion we had in the shed.

I then cut out some window frames which we stuck on with a glue stick.
I used some wire battery operated fairy lights from the pound shop which I stuck to the roof with masking tape (because I didn’t have any sticky tape).
Noah got to work making some books for our library shelves, and a sign for the outside.

Finally, we filled it with a blanket, some cushions and books, and climbed inside…
