Searching For Animals at Garwnant Visitors Centre
Today I went on a mummy adventure, just myself and the kids, we headed out for a walk in the Brecon Beacons and stumbled upon Garwnant visitors centre.
This is a place that we would often visit many moons ago but haven’t been for around 10 years… and boy has it changed. It’s nestled in some beautiful forest surrounded by mountains overlooking a huge reservoir.
The centre itself boasts of a cafe and a fab play park, mountain bike courses and walking trails which are fully accessible for wheelchair users and buggies.
The cost to park was £2 but you can avoid this by parking outside of the entrance and walking up.
We visited today mainly to walk although the kids did spend time in the park…i forgot to photo the park although there is a view from the swing included 🙂 .
Here’s how beautiful the place looked.
We had hot chocolate from the cafe.
We found birds nests.
The view was stunning.
We collected bark.
Ms A carried them 🙂
Before we went home we had another go in the park.
And we stopped at the reservoir we’d overlooked to reflect on our day and chuck stones in on our way home.
Garwnant Visitor Centre is situated just off the A470, five miles north of Merthyr Tydfil.
