We made a fruit owl!
Getting kids involved and enthused about food doesn’t have to be complicated…
We took the kids to the supermarket to select & buy their fruit. They then washed and cut it all up before making a centrepiece owl for pudding.
Boo, aged 2.5 years, used a standard dinner knife to reduce the risk of cutting herself whilst still being given the responsibility to cut the fruit up on her own. She did this confidently and she was proud of what she had made.
They happily scoffed it down.

What a sweet idea! My best friend is a kindergarten teacher so I’m going to share this idea with her.
