Illuminating Carton Fairy Village

✨We decided to build a fairy village at the bottom of the garden…

Here’s how we got on..

We used empty juice cartons and a milk carton, we started by covering the cartons with some quick drying white gloss which we had in the shed.

we drew on our windows and doors and I carefully cut them out..

we used permanent sharpie marker pens to decorate our houses once the paint was dry.

We drew and cut out some clothes for a clothes line too..

Lastly we used a string of battery operated fairy lights which we fed through the houses to magically light up our village ..

We made some fairy donuts using icing & sprinkles to put in our fairy cafe when we placed our village in the garden..

Here’s another my highly professionally made pla Here’s another my highly professionally made plans for another area of the church 😂
Beneath the pew flooring outside of the front of the pod are voids which are around 4 foot deep into the ground. This means that we will be able to build ourselves a plunge pool between the arches in front of the window.
We are hoping that we will be able to utilise the space so it will double up as a sunken seating area which we can fill to also use as a soothing plunge pool/bath/spa. This will be creatively custom made by ourselves and will hopefully have a cover made from the existing pew flooring so it’s a hidden delight.
The pew wood flooring which the pews once sat on is staying in the church as it is to become like a decking area emerging from underneath the living pod.
I can envisage in my head and eventually it’ll all come to life...watch this space 😂

Got to have some luxuries right! And what a better way than to soothe away your aches and pains after a day working in the churchyard 👌

What little luxuries (or extravagant) would you make for the church?

🚪🌸🌱🌼🌿💐 The living door basking i 🚪🌸🌱🌼🌿💐 The living door basking in the sunshine, they stand in the entrance to the wild woodland meadow area of the churchyard. An area canopied by trees with an abundance of dappled sunshine.
These are the old doors from the bottom of the tower, full of woodworm and in a poor state of repair beyond the realms of restoration.
We made a new set of doors using the old pew wood to replace them.
Rather than getting rid of them we treated the doors to stop further woodworm, covered them in a weatherproof varnish and roofing felt, and drilled holes into the frame before adding plants.
The base of the frame sits amongst two pink hydrangea bushes (currently ridding beautifully)
In time the doors will come alive.

A few days ago I added a few fake flowers to brighten them up a little whilst the real plants grow.
My dear child... You’ll always be the sun to me My dear child...
You’ll always be the sun to me,
You’ll always help me shine,
And even on my darkest days
You’ll make my days worth while.
You’ll always make my heart complete,
And put the tune into my song,
You’ll guide me throughout parenthood
And teach me right from wrong.
I’ll always be here next to you,
Your hand will always fit in mine
I’ll value your sweet company,
I’ll value all your time,
And even when the sky is grey,
You’ll brighten up my day
And I’ll sit with you through murky fogs
And we’ll blow those clouds away
And I’ll give you all the stars that shine,
I’ll reach the moon and give that too,
And I’ll catch the sunbeams from the morning sky,
And pass them onto you.
Because you’ll always be the sun to me,
You’ll always help me shine,
And as long as you reach out to me,
I’ll freely give you all my time.
And I’ll value all your preciousness
And proudly watch you grow,
Because the love that you have given me,
Is stronger than you’ll ever, ever know. ❤️☀️Mumma
