Fairies in a Jar

Fairy in a jar

Imagine having your own magical fairy in a jar!

I made this lovely nightlight for the girls in lest than 30 minutes…

I’ve left it in their bedroom to discover and have left a note to tell them it’s from the fairies and will capture all their wishes.

Here’s how I did it.

You will need:

  • An empty jar
  • Some PVA glue
  • A silhouette fairy (Google “fairies” and print one out or alternatively draw one on a piece of paper with permanent marker pen)
  • Tissue paper
  • Ribbon

Firstly I printed out and cut roughly around my silhouette fairy.

I then used a little PVA glue to stick her to the outside of the jar before covering the jar with glue.

Once covered, scrumple up your tissue paper (I used toilet paper)  before flattening it back out and covering the jar with it.

Pop in some battery operated fairy lights.

And finish by replacing the lid and adding some ribbon to the rim/neck of the jar.

How ridiculously easy was that!! A magical lantern to capture all your wishes ✨????
