Who doesn’t love a hot chocolate! We most certainly do in our house and it’s an ideal treat to enjoy both indoors or outdoors in a flask on a picnic. And a themed hot chocolate station in the slow cooker is ideal as a centrepiece for any kind of celebration. We decided to make a spring themed one to enjoy during the Easter holidays.
I started off by collecting a few bits to scene set, an Easter bonnet the children had made, a bunny, some yummy chocolate goodies and some paper straws. I then made a sign to put up on the wall.
I didn’t use any kind of complex recipe and instead opted to simply use a regular instant hot chocolate mix.
I cooked it up in a pan before pouring it into our pre-warmed slow cooked. I then set the slow cooker onto a ‘warm’ setting to keep it warm.

And there you have it! The most wonderful hot chocolate station for everyone to dip into and enjoy as they please!
You could even scene set with some beautiful homemade spring flower nature collages.
Or even used as an alternative to the traditional Easter eggs.
