Chocolate Sprinkle Bowls

Chocolate Sprinkle Bowls

We thought we’d try our hand at making chocolate sprinkle bowls for ice-cream. What could go wrong?

Chocolate Sprinkle Bowls

We used balloons, sprinkles and chocolate.

We melted the chocolate by placing it in a bowl and sitting it over a saucepan of boiling water.

Once the chocolate had melted we left it to cool for a while.

**IMPORTANT BIT If the chocolate is not left to cool for a while then you will face chocolatey explosions as you try to cover your balloons!! DO NOT USE WATER BALLOONS THEY DO NOT WORK AS WE MESSILY FOUND OUT!)

Once the chocolate was relatively cooled but still in a thick liquidy paste we dipped in out balloons.

We placed the chocolate covered balloons in the fridge for half an hour to go hard.

While we wait we obligatory licked the bowl. If you do have any left over you could make some awesome Chocolate Dipping Spoons.

Once set we carefully popped and removed the balloon.

We cut up some strawberries…

Added ice cream and topped with the strawberries and scoffed immediately 🙂

They were yummy. Check out more of the Fun With Food we’ve had!
