I wanted to keep some of Ms A’s sleep suits to remember how small she was so I decided that I’d try my hand at making a sleepsuit keepsake memory bear. Sewing is not my strong point so it had to be sew free and easy. So, this is how I made it.
Tonight was a school night but it wasn’t about being responsible on a Tuesday night, it wasn’t about tea around the table or scrub up’s before bed, it wasn’t about reading books or bedtimes. It wasn’t even about shoes.

At 9 weeks old Ms A is finding her hands slowly but surely and a little more each day. They mesmerise me. Their intricacy, delicateness, the way she’s working them out.
At 13 days old Ms A returned to the womb, a nice cosy snug place that her sister had also sat snugly in and grew within 10 years ago. She fit beautifully.
…because sometimes that’s really what it is. I am proud to be a mother but it isn’t always pretty & sometimes the only option is to laugh.,, and we do! Our hope is that our followers see our challenges, triumphs, ups, downs and realities in all forms.
Before bed I asked who’d like to get up at the crack of dawn with bed hair & blankies in tow to head out & watch the day begin, Mila, 6, volunteered.
