Camper Van Box Baby Walker

Camper Van Box Baby Walker

The last few days Jude (7.5 months) has been pulling himself up on the furniture and slowly making his way around. He’s properly on the move and eager to go.

So I decided to make him a baby walker using a box. And he loved it.

Here’s how I did it.

I chose a sturdy box and made sure once I had cut the hole out that it would not tip, I cut off the base of the box so his feet would touch the floor.

I then used a length of fabric which I draped in the hole to form a seat and tied it either end of the box.

I made sure I looped the fabric so it threaded through holes in the side of the box and tied around the bottom of the box to form an extra cushion of fabric for the ease of sliding along the floor.

**This box walker is intended to be used on smooth laminate, tiled or wooden floors.

I then set about painting it with non-toxic acrylic paints.

And that’s it! How easy was that! It saved me loads of money and he loves it!

🪚 🪛 🪵 🧁 🧑‍🍳 We made our own ru 🪚 🪛 🪵 🧁 🧑‍🍳 We made our own rustic cake stand! The 8 year old made a plan before using tools to cut some wood slices, drill some holes and screw together his design.
He then made some fairy cakes and decorated them to make a centrepiece dessert 🌸🧁

It was really easy to do and highly effective, he was very proud of himself 🥰👏

☺️ Really pleased at how the kitchen ceiling i ☺️ Really pleased at how the kitchen ceiling is looking! It’s been a long process insulating between the beams and putting up lining papering and cleaning down and waxing the beams but our hard work is starting to pay off and it’s looking beautiful. So many people advised us to cover the beams up as an easy measure but for us that was never going to happen, keeping the church as original as possible is our highest priority, it’s a stunning building, why change that?
Our next job is to give the walls another coat of paint around the memorials we restored and hang the chandeliers central to the arches...then maybe we can think about building the kitchen 🙂

🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️😷🍿🎬 We’re thr 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️😷🍿🎬 We’re throwing a ‘lockdown heroes’ treat night for the children as a reminder to them of how proud we are of them holding it together during the lock down.
I made some printouts to set the scene and we’ll have treats and watch a superhero movie.
This pandemic is so hard on everyone and it’s so easy to overlook how well the children are cracking on throughout, they are so resilient when it comes to change but it’s such an incredibly emotional and unknown time for their little minds.

So this little treat night is a reminder to them that they too are hero’s in their own right and that we’re proud of the part they play too 💖
