Building a Fireplace for Santa

Building a Fireplace for Santa

🎅🏼🔥💫 We made a fireplace for Santa using a big box and a little box. Here’s how we did it…

You will need:

1 large box

1 small box

Aluminium foil

Masking tape and strong parcel tape

Brown and black paint

Coloured paper to make the fire

*optional snow blanket

Draw around the shape of the smaller box onto the big box and cut out a hole to slot it in. Cut off three of the flaps from the smaller box and use the last flap to cut out the shape of a fire grate.

Use masking tape to mark out the bricks.

Paint the box and carefully remove the masking tape.

Paint the inside of the fireplace with black paint.

Finish by covering the grate with foil, adding paper flames and a snow blanket under a cardboard mantle, if desired.
Additional pieces of card can be added for effect by cutting out strips and sticking them on with double-sided sticky tape.
