Building a Bear Lair
We decided to make an under table bear lair. We have the school bear home to visit so we thought we would take the opportunity to help him feel at home. Here’s how we did it…
We started by gathering sheets and cushions. We painted paw prints on the floor where the entrance would be.
We used a smaller table that would act as our cave entrance and we used parcel tape to attach battery operated fairy lights to the cave roof.
We placed some cushions over the table and entrance and then covered with the sheets..
We placed some leaves, fake flowers and pebbles around our cave.
We made honey bear sandwiches with a bear cookie cutter and had Pom-bear crisps for our under-table picnic.
Check out our fun with food post for some fabulous ideas!
You could even make some Teddy bear toast! Peanut butter or chocolate spread, bananas and raisins 🙂
And the we crawled under the table to eat.
Not forgetting to take our bear!!!!
This would be ideal to combine with our bear hibernation fun learning activity.
You have to love a den! Why not take a peek at our DEN IDEAS.
I love this so much! We just might have to build a bear cave too. x
You must, it was simple and effective and the kids loved it 🙂
