Bluestone Rocks

Hands up who loves rock painting. We do!We have been a part of the wonderful Forest Of Dean Rocks group since the craze began around six months ago and have really enjoyed being a part of a group of people that paint rocks and hide them for others to find just to make them smile. The group has grown from straight to strength and has become the inspiration for many other groups throughout the country.

It’s wonderful fun for families and, as well as hiding painted rocks, children have a fabulous time rock hunting too. It really is a great way to get children enthused about the outdoors!

So we decided to take our love of painting rocks and join it with our love of Bluestone and start an immense #BLUESTONEROCKS adventure!

Bluestone is a fantastic award-winning family resort nestled in the beautiful hills of Pembrokeshire. They have a wonderful ethos of providing free-range fun and are located just a short distance from some of the most spectacular beaches in the UK. It’s a firm Tried & Tested favourite of ours.

So we got in touch with them and, as a random act of kindness, the #Bluestonerocks adventure began. We have painted 150 original Family Days Tried & Tested rocks that will be hidden around the resort and are encouraging guests to post their finds onto social media using the #Bluestonerocks hashtag and to post a photo into the FoDRocks Facebook Group.

We encourage rock-finders NOT to keep the rocks but to REHIDE them instead for other guests to find and enjoy the fun too. Or maybe you could make your own and add to the fun.
