Birthday Ideas
Birthdays are all about the little things to celebrate the day. They don’t have to be elaborate and most often the simplest little fun things are the most memorable. Here are some fabulous ways to mark the occasion…
BIRTHDAY/ACHIEVEMENTS CHAIR
It’s a multi purpose spot to sit for the achiever or birthday child to have undivided attention & tell/show us the things they’ve achieved at school or home or just to lap up a birthday serenade ?
We used a plastic IKEA chair for £5 and some permanent Sharpie marker pens to make ours.
BIRTHDAY MONEY BALLOONS
??Hang balloons from the ceiling with money in some of them and get the birthday child to pop them to get their loot. ?
PERSONALISED BIRTHDAY MONEY CARDS
Draw pictures in birthday cards to incorporate coins.. It makes giving money that little bit more personalised.
BIRTHDAY MEMORY SILHOUETTES
A great way to create some memories of the birthday child is to make some easy cardboard cut out Birthday silhouettes and head outdoors for a birthday walk. Take your photos with the sun behind the object you are photographing for some fab keepsake results.
MESSAGE BALLOONS
Message balloons are great to wake up to any day but a lovely way for the family to write birthday messages on. You could even pop a coin in each balloon.
TOILET HUMOUR BIRTHDAY ROLL
Here’s a sure way to raise some birthday smiles. Just use a Biro to write humour on a toilet roll.
BIRTHDAY GREETINGS
BIRTHDAY BATH
A birthday bath is always fabulous fun! You could fill the bathroom with balloons or just surround a lavishly bubble bath with all sorts of yummies for a luxury soak.
You could even transform your Trampoline!
PRESENCE NOT PRESENTS
It’s not always all about presents. We asked what a 4 year old wanted and he had the perfect day.
ALTERNATIVE BIRTHDAY CAKE
Have a peep at our Birthday cake alternative !!
BIRTHDAY EGGS
I used a permanent Sharpie marker pen to make a birthday breakfast egg. I drew on it before I boiled it and then melted a little wax on the top to secure a birthday candle.
You can have lots of fun with eggs.
BIRTHDAY VOUCHERS
I made birthday vouchers to place around the house: attached to the milk carton, the TV, the fridge door, the toilet seat, the letter box, etc. And all it costs is the change in my right pocket 🙂
BIRTHDAY DEN KIT
Here’s a fab present idea…a den kit!! And there are loads of den ideas to make a birthday den.

CONSTRUCTION SITE PARTY TEA
Here’s a simple last minute idea to throw together a fun party tea. Collect any vehicles you have and fill them up with food.

Who doesn’t love a cocktail? Make a non-alcoholic birthday cocktail bar.
BIRTHDAY MESSAGE KEEPSAKE
Find something to pass around at your birthday gathering with a pot of permanent marker pens so everyone can write a birthday message on it.
CHARITY SHOP CHINA TEA PARTY
Charity shops are wonderful for collecting some pretty China to have an afternoon tea party.
