Air Dry Clay Family Tree Totem Pole

We decided we were going to make our own natural totem pole in the forest…
We took with us a pack of air dry clay (£3.50 in Hobby craft) to make a totem pole with all our family on it. We also took a pop up tent, flask of soup and some crusty bread, we used latex gloves from Poundland to minimise the mess…

Here’s how we got on…

We started by placing dollops of clay on our chosen tree…

We then used lollipop sticks to mould our self portraits…

We added googly eyes..

We then set the tent up for our forest picnic..

After some time building a den…

And loads of fun as the wind kept taking our tent 🙂
