A Return To Cofton Country Holiday Park

Cofton Country Holiday Park

A few weeks ago we had the absolute pleasure of returning to Cofton Country Holiday Park. And what a fabulous time we had!

We’d booked earlier in the year to stay and the kids were super excited as they knew some of what to expect.

Nestled within the beautiful countryside of south Devon, it was an ideal location for us just a mile away from the ocean. We like to explore and with the lure of the seaside, it seemed like the perfect spot. Little did we know that there would be so much to do on site that we wouldn’t want to leave.

Cofton is an award-winning site and the reasons for this really shone through with lots of different options they accommodate for everyone. From camping to caravanning, right through to cottages, holiday homes and luxury apartments, there really is something to suit all budgets.

In fairness though, I don’t need to sell it to you as the pictures really do speak for themselves. Take a peek, and make your own mind up.

We arrived on a Sunday and our fun began.

Beautiful Surroundings

Cofton Country Holiday Park

Cofton itself is nestled in such beautiful surroundings. It’s a haven for wildlife and nature and great for outdoor exploring. We had the opportunity of trying our hand at some of the fishing in the lakes and it felt like we were in a lost world of lushness. It really was glorious.

Fishing

We booked in for some family fishing and the kids were shown the ropes by fishing coach ‘Rowly’ and taken through everything they needed to know before manning the rods themselves to catch some fish. I have to say I wasn’t very optimistic but within minutes we had our first bite and after that, the fish came thick and fast. The kids were delighted.

Pools

The pools were overlooked by lifeguards and you could even sit at a table and order food whilst watching the kids. It really was a grand set up and very appealing to families.

We were impressed by the shop. The shop itself was like a mini supermarket with everything you could possibly need. And pleasingly nothing was overpriced. There were ample products to see you through your self-catering stay and a ton of pocket money items to choose from for the kids.

Games Room

Alongside the pool area was a games room which the kids enjoyed. And although they did fleece us out of 2p coins we were not overwhelmed by expensive rides or machines. It was bearable and traditional fun.

Food

The food was of a very fabulous standard too. It could get a little pricey if you have a few children to cater for but nothing more than you’d expect to find in a restaurant.

Outdoor Time

Cofton sits in a beautiful oasis of a natural playground with open areas, lakes and forests to explore. It is a fabulous destination for little ones with an enthusiasm to explore.
